BASS PLAYER WANTED
Bass Player needed for Brisbane original alt-rock, garage-blues outfit The Blackwater Fever. Our bass/keys player of 10 years has just parted ways.
Looking for a friendly, creative team player to be our bass player and/or multi instrumentalist to write, record, perform with us.
Experienced musicians only.
Bass skills is a must. Keyboard skills a bonus. Can sing backing vocals? Even better! We are hoping for a band member that is willing to take on bass duties but also keyboard parts live.
The bass/ keys combo has become apart of our sound and we’d like to keep that aesthetic. So if you don’t consider yourself a keys player but are willing to work at it, let’s talk!
We rehearse in Moorooka on Brisbane Southside in a permanent room.
If required, we can help with equipment / live rig to get the live band up and running again asap.
We are in the final stages of completing our 6th album that we are super excited to release and hope to have a new member onboard to start organising album launches and live shows in SE QLD and interstate asap. We are also aspiring to touring OS in Europe and US.
We are always writing new material and the chance to make your mark on an album recording is just around the corner.
I’m 42 (Shane) and Trevor Gee on drums is 27. Hoping to find someone aged similarly. Male or female.
Please send us an email telling us a bit about yourself, musical / band experience and any links recordings you’ve played on to: theblackwaterfever@gmail.com

BIO
Brisbane’s dark and moody garage blues rockers The Blackwater Fever release their new single The Highway.
Inspired by Cormac McCarthy’s post-apocalyptic novel The Road. The Highway is a mean and searing journey rife with terror and peril.
“We scattered our thorns now run barefoot. There’s an ill wind blowing that blows no good. Out on the highway, will the good in us overcome?”
With over 80,000 monthly listeners + 16 million streams on Spotify, TBWF trio have found a worldwide cult following with 5 albums to date.
The band have enjoyed shows with The Black Keys and Tame Impala, plus their recent inclusion on Showtime TV series ‘Shameless’ and ABC’s ‘Mystery Road’.

“A GUTTURAL & HEARTBROKEN HOWL.” – BMA
