THE BLACKWATER FEVER: EPK
Listen
BIO
Witnessed one year in the crowd at Byron Blues Festival…
“Hey mate, who’s this up next?“
“What! Have u been livin’ under a rock!” The other exclaims and proceeds to scull the last of his beer. With the dregs still dripping from his impressive beard he proclaims… “The Blackwater Fever! Bloody brace yourself!”
Instantly a thick electric guitar tone fills the festival tent like surging swamp water from a Mississippi hurricane. Thunderous drums pound and crack as if the sound system was struck by lighting. An organ spins a heavy swirl like some wicked preacher summoning his devilish church. And that primal howl… Does this man eat bitumen for breakfast?!
All this glorious and raucous sound compels the burly man to throw down his can, raise his size 12 boot… and then perfectly timed to the next down beat he… STOMPED ON IT!!!
…and in that moment the term ‘Can Crusher’ was coined. 😉
